Candle Safety:Before lighting, place it on a flat and stable surface that is not flammable. Avoid Drafts. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, water, or things that can catch fire.Once lit, melt the wax Fully Across, especially the first time. A full melt pool achieves maximum fragrance release. Avoid burning it for more than four hours.Avoid Tunneling--a hole around the wick caused by burning it for short periods. Burn it long enough each time so that the entire top surface of wax is melted. How long that takes depends on the size of the candle.Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch. Use a wick trimmer so the trimmings do not fall into the wax. (We supply free ones on some purchases) Don't touch the hot wax or container. Don't blow out the flame, snuff it out. A metal spoon works. Blowing it out spreads ashy debris into the candle's melted wax and may cause smoke. A buildup of wick trimmings or thick dust in the wick pool can catch fire. Cover the candle when not in use (eliminates dust & debris) and let it cool before reusing. Discard the candle when it is down to ½ inch of wax or if the container is damaged in any way. Do not reuse the container for refill and burning candles.
