Summertime, 19XX. You were 11. You were building a fort with kids you barely knew, and you were nervous, but you felt proud to belong. Summertime, 2012. You're not 11. Sometimes you wish you were doing more. What, if anything, does wistful nostalgia for summer camp and making lanyards with your bunkies have in common with an growing impulse to help raise awareness, grow support and help combat the various diseases, cancers, and cycles of violence, poverty and despair actively hurting your family, your friends and our interconnected communities? Um, well, you. And the person who notices your bracelet in line at the grocery store, at school, or over the weekend and asks something. You have a chance to help. Tiny gestures matter. Take notice. Pay attention. Learn the signs. Ask questions. Get involved. Volunteer. Love. Talk. Play. LISTEN. Repeat. We've never not made something because we thought the backstory was too good without it, but we've certainly taken our time to learn and listen before we ever start designing even the simplest thing. We love simple. Simple, but full of purpose. Like the Awareness ribbon. On that note: we have been honored and humbled (in the best way) when it comes to the customer feedback related to our Awareness pieces: so many incredible stories, so much love, and so much will to fight on. These new Awareness CAMP bracelets share the same iconic ribbon' symbol, but come in five different colors and signal allegiance to many causes, and growing. Tie one on and see what happens.
