Barber & Osgerby Olio White Teapot by Royal Doulton
Barber & Osgerbys passion for making was apparent throughout every stage of creating the Olio collection. The considered use of materials is essential to the collection, with exposed stoneware used as a key feature, referring to Royal Doultons early history in manufacturing stoneware, salt-glazed clay pipes. We set out to design a tableware range of eclectic shapes, materials and textures. The collection is reminiscent of timeless found objects that have their roots in the man made We imagine people will use the range in an adhoc way and enjoy combining it with existing pieces. This concept moves away from the conventional idea of buying a set of matching tableware. -Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby
