Monkey Dish by Michael Aram
Michael Aram was inspired by themes from the Chinese "Year of the Monkey" and its Earthly element of metal, in the creation of the Monkey Dish. Embodied in a hand-sculpted, polished brass monkey set with jade eyes, this piece captures the playfulness for which monkeys are known. The golden monkey is perched on the edge of the steel dish and looks as though he is catching his reflection in a pool of water. Each piece is a handcrafted celebration of prosperity and new beginnings.

- Each Michael Aram metal object undergoes a series of grinding, buffing and polishing techniques. Variations or 'imperfections' in the product's finish are characteristic of the creation process. Due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
