First Hints of Fall: Cozy Fragrances for the In-Between Season | The Lamp Stand
Posted by The Lamp Stand on Sep 18th 2026
You know that point in September when it’s still warm outside…but you’re definitely ready for fall?
The mornings are getting a little cooler, the blankets are coming back out, and suddenly those bright summer fragrances just don’t feel quite right anymore.
But we’re not rushing straight into pumpkin spice just yet.
This is the perfect time for early fall fragrances with apples, pear, warm woods, amber and just a little spice. Here are a few we’re loving for that in-between season.

Cinnamon Apple by Sophia’s
If fall had a starting point, apple and cinnamon would probably be it.
Sophia’s Cinnamon Apple blends warm apple with cinnamon and clove, along with touches of bayberry and pine. It feels like fall without going full holiday just yet.
Try this one if: Apple season is your unofficial start to fall.

Warm Woods by Sophia’s
Not into sweet fall fragrances? Try Warm Woods.
Patchouli, cedar and amber mix with tonka and vanilla for something warm, cozy and a little earthy.
Try this one if: Your fall vibe is more cozy cabin than pumpkin bakery.

Spiced Pear by Sophia’s
Apple gets most of the fall attention, but don’t forget about pear.
Spiced Pear combines pear with autumn-inspired spices for a fruity fall fragrance that feels a little different from the usual apple and pumpkin scents.
Try this one if: You want something fruity and seasonal without reaching for pumpkin.

Sandalwood by Scentimental Scents
Sometimes all you need to make a home feel a little cozier is a warm wood fragrance.
Sandalwood mixes warm wood tones with soft floral notes for an easy, comforting scent that works beautifully as the weather starts cooling down.
Try this one if: You like simple, warm fragrances that aren’t overly sweet.

Fireside by Scentimental Scents
The name pretty much sets the mood.
Fireside is one of those fragrances that just feels right once the evenings start getting cooler. Think blankets on the couch, low lighting and the first nights you’d rather stay in than go out. It’s currently available in The Lamp Stand’s Scentimental Scents collection.
Try this one if: You’re already counting down to fireplace weather.

Front Porch Sandalwood by La Tee Da
For another warm and woodsy option, Front Porch Sandalwood is such a good transition scent.
It blends hardwood notes with a soft vanilla bean undertone, giving it a cozy feel without being too sweet or spicy.
Try this one if: You love warm woods, neutral décor and understated cozy fragrances.

Amber Woods by La Tee Da
Amber Woods is a great choice when you’re still hanging onto a little bit of summer.
It combines fresh salty mist with amber, driftwood and sea moss, so you get warmth from the amber and woods while still keeping things fresh.
Try this one if: You want a fragrance that feels like summer slowly turning into fall.
So…Which Fall Fragrance Are You?
If you want something fruity and cozy, start with Cinnamon Apple or Spiced Pear.
Prefer warm and woodsy? Try Warm Woods, Sandalwood or Front Porch.
And if you’re looking for something that still feels a little fresh while the seasons change, Amber Woods is a great place to start.
There’s plenty of time for pumpkin later!
For now, we’re enjoying those first little hints of fall.
